DOHA, Oct.30 -- The 44th Chinese naval escort taskforce paid a goodwill visit to Qatar from October 24 to 28, 2023. This is the third visit of the Chinese naval escort taskforce to the country and the third stop of this taskforce's friendly visit mission.
During the visit to Qatar, the commanding officer of the Chinese taskforce called on and conducted in-depth and friendly exchanges with Lt. Gen. Pilot Salim Bin Hamad Al-Nabit, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces and Commander of Qatari Naval Forces Major General Abdullah B?N HASSAN AL-SULA?T?.
The destroyer Zibo also held deck reception activities, and the bilateral troops’ representatives visited each other's ships and held a friendly football match during the event.
More than 100 people, including staff of the Chinese Embassy in Qatar, representatives of Chinese-invested enterprises, and overseas Chinese, came to the Hamad Port to see off the Chinese taskforce on October 28, 2023.
