BEIJING, June 21 -- The 54th edition of the Paris Air Show took place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions in Paris, France, on June 19, and will last until June 25. A number of Chinese enterprises including Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) attended the exhibition.
This air show has seen the richest and largest number of exhibits from the AVIC in the Paris Air Show, with the debut of equipment such as the "20" series aircraft, amphibious aircraft AG600 and WL-X UAV.
In the exhibition area of air offensive and defense systems, models capable of attacking targets represented by J-20, H-6K, Gongji-11 and diverse airborne weapons are shown. The Y-20 transport aircraft demonstrates the enhanced strategic delivery and integrated support capabilities of China. The KJ-500 and ZDK03 early warning aircraft and other support models show the logistic support strength of Chinese aerial equipment under information and complex battlefield environment. And star model J-10CE, along with CAC/PAC JF-17 Thunder, L15 advanced training aircraft, Z-10ME and Z-19E armed helicopters and Y-9E transport aircraft, shows the potential of China's new generation of high-tech aviation products in the international market.
A number of Long March series of carrier rockets, multi-type satellites, as well as China's space station, lunar probe, Mars probe and other models also appears at this exhibition. Among them, the APSTAR-6D telecommunication satellite model makes a stage pose for the first time.
Initiated in 1909, this biennial event is one of the world's largest and most prestigious international aerospace exhibitions. The 54th edition of the Paris Air Show, which was supposed to be held in 2021, was postponed to this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the information released by the organizing committee, the show has attracted more than 2,400 aerospace businesses from around the world.
