BEIJING, Feb. 4 -- The annual symposium on communication and coordination work between the troops stationed in Beijing and the Beijing municipal government was held on February 4. Yin Li, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and Admiral Miao Hua, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and director of the CMC Political Work Department, attended the symposium and delivered speeches.
On behalf of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, the Beijing Municipal Government and the people of Beijing, Yin Li expressed his sincere gratitude and high respect to all the troops stationed in Beijing. He pointed out that over the past year, while comprehensively strengthening military training and combat readiness, the troops stationed in Beijing have vigorously supported various tasks in Beijing and made important contributions to the capital's development in the new era. He pointed out that the Beijing municipal government will continue to serve the troops stationed in Beijing with heart and soul, meet their practical needs in terms of combat readiness, education and training, help them improve the working and living conditions, and continuously develop the rock-solid military-governmental and military-civil relations.
On behalf of the service members stationed in Beijing, Admiral Miao Hua expressed his heartfelt thanks and Spring Festival greetings to the Beijing Party committees, governments at all levels and the general public. Admiral Miao demanded that all the troops stationed in Beijing must resolutely implement the decisions and directives of the CPC Central Committee, the CMC and President Xi, vigorously support the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, undertake urgent, difficult and dangerous tasks, break new ground in unity with the government and the people in the capital, and make new contributions to the construction of a pioneering and demonstration area of Chinese modernization.
