KORLA, Aug. 2 (ChinaMil) -- The individual race for infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) crews of the "Suvorov Attack" contest of the International Army Games (IAG) 2018 concluded in Korla, northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region on Wednesday. The Chinese team won top three places in the race.
During the individual race, each IFV must pass all obstacles such as antitank ditch, treadway bridge and ups and downs road, and complete machine-gun and artillery firing sessions successively.
The two-day individual race attracted IFV crews from seven countries including Russia, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, China, Belarus, Iran and Kazakhstan. Finally, the Chinese team won top three places in the race. In addition, China, Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan qualified for the relay race for IFV crews of the "Suvorov Attack" contest.
The competition for IFV crews in the "Suvorov Attack" contest consists of two stages including individual race and relay race. It aims to test the IFV crews' off-road maneuvering and precision shooting capabilities. Russia used its own equipment for the races while other countries used equipment supplied by China.
