BEIJING, Oct. 13 -- China’s Ministry of Veterans Affairs (MVA) released the 3rd batch of enterprises supporting the employment of veterans in Beijing on Monday. The 60 enterprises involved are scheduled to offer 124,000 jobs for veterans.
Since the end of 2019, the MVA has signed deals with 12 enterprises in two batches, in a bid to boost employment of veterans.
This July, five departments including the MVA, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), jointly issued an initiative on promoting veteran employment, which serves as an opportunity for the MVA to deliver invitations to more than 1,300 state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, and private enterprises across China, 60 of which have been selected after repeated consultations and selections as of now.
“Next, we will continue to expand the employment cooperation with more enterprises, industries and regions,” said Yu Jingsen, director of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Department of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
